Dynasty fantasy football is a blank canvas.

There are so many ways to play this game. You’ve got your film watchers – tape grinders determined to use the eye test to find their next great rookie draft pick. If numbers are more your thing, there’s the spreadsheet warriors (complimentary) using data and models to understand the DNA of prospective superstars in the making. Don’t forget the redrafters, trying something new and determined to nail that “two- to three-year window.” The casuals, here for a good time and (hopefully) a long time. The home-leaguers, the sharps, the analysts. Every one of them, painting their own version of a dynastic masterpiece. Every one of them with a perspective that’s valuable, no matter how diametrically opposed their viewpoints and methods.

I live somewhere in the middle of it all, in the eye of the storm. A dead zone, somewhere to observe and learn, a card-carrying member of all and none of them.

This blog will be an opportunity for me to share what I’ve gleaned from each of the aforementioned groups, document my thoughts on specific players and approaches, and to explore my own evolving relationship with the game.
